The Albany New World Auckland Tuatara Academy will be represented with a team in the highly competitive Harbour Basketball Association’s premier men’s competition in 2026.
The professional franchise will enter a team on the Wednesday night league with a handful of seasoned Sal’s NBL regulars and the next wave of up-and-coming talent in the Auckland region combining.
The likes of 50-game inaugural Tuatara player Chris McIntosh, and experienced Noa Latu and Ryan Laumatia will lead a talented group of players that are part of the inaugural Albany New World Tuatara Academy.
Seven Albany New World Tuatara Academy members in all will form part of the roster and will play against tough local opposition, including ex-Tall Blacks and professional players.
The season gets underway on Wednesday February 18 where the Tuatara will face the University of Auckland side from 8.45pm at Eventfinda Stadium.
