Tuatara roll Sharks in front of big crowd

The Auckland Tuatara have hammered the Southland Sharks 94-54 in front of a capacity crowd at Eventfinda Stadium on Friday night.

Aaron Young’s side controlled the game from the early moments and continued to extend their lead throughout the contest to pick up their second straight win in the Sal’s NBL and improve to 4-2 on the season.

Starters Rob Loe, Corey Webster and Tom Vodanovich all contributed 23 points in the win while Loe added 14 points, four assists, two steals and a block.

Webster poured in seven assists, four boards and four steals while Vodanovich eight rebounds.

Tall Blacks skipper Reuben Te Rangi proved facilitator on the night, adding 10 dimes.

Earlier, the Tuatara prevailed over the Sharks 26-20 in Sky Broadband Rapid League. The win lifts the Tuatara Rapid League team to 4-2 on the season.

The Tuatara host the top-of-the-table Franklin Bulls on Wednesday night.
