For the first time in franchise history the Auckland Tuatara will have a naming rights partner after leading Kiwi paper cup and food packaging manufacturer Jadcup agreed to a three-year partnership.
The two parties share similar philosophies around growth and will work together with the team officially being known as the Jadcup Tuatara moving forward.
Based in Auckland, all of Jadcup’s products are produced in New Zealand by New Zealand employees and they supply some of the biggest brands in the country.
Their products are made from sustainable materials and Jadcup prides itself on shaping a sustainable future where circular economy is the new norm.
Auckland Tuatara owner Regan Wood said the connection between the two brands was instant.
“We are delighted to join forces with Daniel, Ella and the team at Jadcup – we had an instant rapport, and it just feels right,” Wood explained.
“It is fantastic to be able link with a company that prides itself on being local, on being sustainable and being innovative as our first ever naming rights partner.
“We look forward to working together on a range of activities across both businesses over the coming years and continuing to grow together.”
Jadcup owner Ella Wang said their business was pleased to partner with the Tuatara.
“We are honoured to be the first naming rights partner for the Jadcup Tuatara and to work with the team there,” Wang said.
“Both businesses have great ambition and have set a terrific base from which to build.
“We love how innovative the franchise is and look forward to working together over the next few years.”
The Jadcup Tuatara have made three straight Sal’s NBL grand finals since joining the League in 2022.
