The Auckland Tuatara have suffered their first loss in 10 games after going down to the reigning Sal’s NBL champion Canterbury Rams 86-83 in a thrilling contest at Eventfinda Stadium.
The match was tight throughout with a playoff intensity between two teams carrying long win streaks.
The Tuatara led narrowly at halftime but the Rams rallied in the second half and a last gasp three point attempt rattled out to ensure the visitors got the win.
The Tuatara fall to 12-3 as a result.
