The Auckland Tuatara have re-signed promising young Kiwi guard Kruz Perrott-Hunt for the remainder of the Sal’s NBL season.
Perrott-Hunt had been signed to the club before the season started as he looked to embark on his post-college career, but he was released last month to pursue going back for a final season.
With that possibility not coming to fruition, Perrott-Hunt has opted to come back to the Tuatara and will add significant depth to the side in their run to the playoffs.
“Kruz wanted to explore the idea of entering the transfer portal and we didn’t want to stand in his way,” coach Aaron Young said.
“He was very transparent with us, and we agreed that if it didn’t work out that he would come back and play for us, and he has been true to his word.
“He is a very talented young player, and we are excited to have him join us at this stage of the season.”
The Tuatara welcome new import big man Joe Lawson III this week as well, with both players likely to suit up against the Franklin Bulls for Sunday’s clash at Eventfinda Stadium.
