The Auckland Tuatara will begin life in the SalsNBL with a road trip to meet the cross-town Franklin Bulls in the 2022 season-opener.
The Tuatara will head down the southern motorway to tackle the Bulls at Franklin Pool and Leisure Centre in Pukekohe on Thursday April 7.
They will make their home debut at Eventfinda Stadium with a Round 2 clash against the Manawatu Jets on Sunday April 17 at 5pm.
The reigning SalsNBL champion Wellington Saints visit Eventfinda Stadium on April 23 for the first Saturday night contest of the 2022 season before a visit from the Taranaki Mountainairs a week later.
Round 5 sees the Auckland Tuatara head off on their first big road trip of the season as they meet the Nelson Giants at the Trafalgar Centre on May 6 before a Sunday afternoon game against the Canterbury Rams in Christchurch two days later.
The Tuatara visit the Saints in Wellington in Round 6 for a Monday night contest on May 16 and then immediately head home to Auckland’s North Shore to face the Bay Hawkes on Thursday May 19 at Eventfinda Stadium.
A return clash at home against the Bulls in the Auckland derby awaits in Round 8 with a Saturday May 28 contest at Eventfinda Stadium.
The Tuatara face three tough road trips to begin June with a Round 9 game against the Hawks at Pettigrew Green Arena on Saturday June 4 before a double-header road weekend in Round 10 that sees Aaron Young’s side visit the Airs (June 10) and Jets (June 12).
A return to Eventfinda Stadium to face the Otago Nuggets on Thursday June 16 is followed by a Friday night battle with the Giants at home on Friday June 24.
Round 13 serves as the Tuatara’s final road trip in which they face the Southland Sharks in Invercargill on July 1 and the Nuggets two days later in Dunedin.
The regular season is completed with back-to-back home games against the Rams on Sunday July 10 and the Sharks on Friday July 15.Details around memberships and ticketing will be confirmed shortly.
