The Auckland Tuatara have signed talented youngster Braydon Iuli ahead of their debut 2022 Sal’s NBL season.
The 18-year-old guard joins the Tuatara after spending the 2021 Sal’s NBL season as a development player with the Franklin Bulls.
The 6’4” player of Samoan heritage is adept at playing both guard positions.
Auckland Tuatara head coach Aaron Young is excited to have secured the services of someone he has big hopes for.
“Braydon is an exciting young talent who is eager for an opportunity to showcase his versatility on the court,” Young said.
“Watching Braydon over the years, through secondary schools, he’s gotten significantly better each year. The pace at which he plays makes him a perfect fit with the way that we want to play this year.
“I’m excited to see how he responds to having a significant role with us, I know he’s going to step up and have a breakout year.”
Iuli joins big man Rob Loe, guards Dontae Russo-Nance and Chris McIntosh, centre Nick Barrow and Tall Black forward Taki Fahrensohn on the Tuatara roster.
