The Auckland Tuatara got back to winning ways in emphatic fashion as they thrashed the Hawke’s Bay Hawks 106-75 at Eventfinda Stadium on Saturday night.
The Tuatara trailed by a point after a high-scoring opening quarter but they clicked into gear on the defensive end from that point on, limiting what the Hawks could do.
Rob Loe led the Tuatara with 24 points, four rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks in a highly efficient night that saw him shoot 10-15 from the field.
Guard Jarrad Weeks was terrific again leading all scorers with 25 to go with nine rebounds, six assists and three steals.
Reuben Te Rangi had 24 points and six boards.
The Tuatara improve to 4-3 on the season and head south next week to face the league leading Otago Nuggets and Canterbury Rams in a tough double-header.
