The Auckland Tuatara have lost to the Canterbury Rams 102-87 in the 2024 Grand Final of the Sal’s NBL at Cowles Stadium in Christchurch.
The Tuatara, who came into the playoffs as the second seed to the Rams, fell behind early but fought back to take a one-point lead into halftime.
The Rams came out strong and opened up a lead during the third quarter as the Tuatara fell into foul trouble – particularly to centre Rob Loe.
Loe was controversially fouled out early in the final quarter and the Rams were able to capitalise to go on and win a second successive crown in front of their home fans.
