The Auckland Tuatara have been drawn in Pool A of the 2022 Schick Cup 3X3 tournament to be held in Invercargill next week.
The Auckland side will feature Sal’s NBL players Chris McIntosh (captain), Reuben Fitzgerald and Tom Beattie as well as forward Liam Judd, who represents the club for the first time.
The Tuatara join seven other men’s teams in Pool A and will face all seven in pool matches across two and a half days before the knock-out part of the tournament gets underway.
The Tuatara open their campaign against Waikato University from 1.05pm on Court 1 on Wednesday October 12.
They face the Hawke’s Bay Hawks from 5.45pm on Court 2 before a final match of the day against the Franklin Bulls at 7.05pm, also on Court 2.
Thursday’s schedule sees the Tuatara face the Sal’s NBL champion Otago Nuggets at 12.25pm on Court 1 before games against the Wellington Saints (1.45pm on Court 1) and the Whai from Tauranga (6.25pm on Court 2).
A final pool match will take place on the morning of Friday October 14, with the Tuatara facing West Coast at 11.45am on Court 1.
Playoff games run through the remainder of Friday and lead up to a Grand Final on Saturday October 15.
