The Auckland Tuatara have powered to a third straight win in the Sal’s NB and the swept their weekend double-header in the South Island after beating the Canterbury Rams 84-72 at Cowles Stadium.
The Tuatara raced out to an early lead and were able to maintain a double digit lead for the majority of the game to improve their season record to 6-3.
Centre Rob Loe had another monster night – finishing one rebound short of a triple double –contributing 13 points, nine rebounds, 10 assists, a steal and two blocks.
Guards Jarrad Weeks and Cam Gliddon scored 19 points apiece while young forward Charlie Dalton had a superb game at both ends of the floor, finishing with 14 points and six boards.
The win lifts the Tuatara to second on the Sal’s NBL ladder.
The team will head to Palmerston North next Sunday for a clash with the Manawatu Jets.
