The Auckland Tuatara rode forward Tom Vodanovich to a ninth straight win as they beat the Nelson Giants 99-81 in front of a packed Eventfinda Stadium.
Vodanovich scored 30 points on nine of 13 shooting, including five of eight from beyond the arc, while pulling down five rebounds, dishing three assists and grabbing a steal in a superb performance.
Rob Loe double doubled with 21 points and 13 boards while Cam Gliddon also had a double double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Also impressing was young guard Braydon Iuli, playing in his first game of the season. Iuli had 11 points with a pair of rebounds and a pair of assists and looked quite at home steering the Tuatara around the court.
The Tuatara played before a capacity crowd that brought fantastic energy to Eventfinda Stadium.
They host the Wellington Saints in Auckland next Saturday night.
