Tall Blacks 3×3 representative and Auckland Tuatara foundation player Chris McIntosh will coach the Tuatara 3×3 side at this year’s 3×3 Cup in Invercargill.
The sharpshooter led the Tuatara on court last season, as they unheralded side made the playoffs.
McIntosh has played for the Tuatara in each of the past two Sal’s NBL seasons, helping the side reach the Grand Final in successive seasons.
He has represented New Zealand at 3×3 level and is considered one of the country’s best exponents of the shorter game and would have suited up at the 3×3 Cup but will instead be part of the Tall Blacks 3×3 team that is playing matches against Australia as part of the week’s fixtures.
McIntosh will help train the Tuatara side in the lead-up to the tournament and will be with the side whenever he is not on court with the Tall Blacks.
Fellow Tuatara player Taki Fahrensohn is also representing the Tall Blacks 3×3 side.
The 2023 3×3 Cup is being held October 25-28 at ILT Stadium in Invercargill.
