Auckland Tuatara signing Rob Loe starred for the Tall Blacks as they eased to a 101-46 win over India in their FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Qualifiers in the Philippines on Thursday.
Loe, the first ever player to sign with the Auckland Tuatara basketball franchise after it acquired the Sal’s NBL licence from the Auckland Huskies late last year, recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
The Breakers big man also added six assists and a pair of three-pointers in a superb all-round game.
Taki Fahrensohn, who played with the Huskies in 2021, made his Tall Blacks debut and scored nine points.
The Tall Blacks have games against South Korea, Philippines and another match against India over the next few days.
