Auckland Tuatara players Rob Loe and Taki Fahrensohn helped the Tall Blacks secure their second straight victory at the Asia Cup – an 88-63 win over hosts the Philippines on Sunday.
Loe scored 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for a second successive double double in the tournament while small forward Fahrensohn contributed four points and three rebounds in 14 minutes off the bench for Pero Cameron’s outfit.
Both players looked sharp in the outing in an encouraging sign ahead of the Auckland franchise’s debut in the Sal’s NBL set to begin in late April.
It follows the Tall Blacks comfortable win over India in the opening match on Thursday.
