Auckland Tuatara fan favourite Charlie Dalton is returning to the franchise for the 2024 Sal’s NBL season.
In a massive boost to the Tuatara’s chances, Dalton – the Sal’s NBL Most Improved Player from 2023 – will return in May after his first season of college finishes in California.
Dalton has been a key figure for the Tuatara – his superb play helping the side reach the Sal’s NBL grand final in each of the past two seasons while his big personality has endeared himself to the club and to fans alike.
“Getting Charlie back is massive for us,” said coach Aaron Young.
“He had a phenomenal season for us last year and really showed us what he’s capable of.
“From a culture standpoint, Charlie has been our leader since he started with the club while still at school. Despite his young age, he is a leader, a tremendous person and has become invaluable to the franchise.
“We are thrilled he is able to link up with us again this season.”
Dalton joins at Tuatara roster that includes NBL stars such as Rob Loe, Cam Gliddon, Tom Vodanovich, Reuben Te Rangi and Corey Webster as well as a host of talented youngsters.
