Auckland Tuatara forward Taki Fahrensohn has been selected for the Tall Blacks upcoming trip to Jakarta for the FIBA Asia Cup tournament.
The talented 23-year-old has enjoyed a terrific 2022, making his Tall Blacks debut earlier in the year before starring for the Tuatara in the Sal’s NBL.
He has been chosen in a youthful-looking Tall Blacks side to participate in the tournament in Indonesia from July 12-24.
His selection means he will miss the Tuatara’s next three Sal’s NBL games (against the Rams, Sharks and Bulls).
The Tuatara face the Rams on Sunday, who will be without Taylor Britt and Max Darling after they were both selected in the Tall Blacks as well while the Bulls will be missing Isaac Davidson and Kane Keil, who has also been selected.
The Tuatara wish Taki all the best for the tournament and look forward to his return for the final round robin game.
