The Auckland Tuatara will play all nine of their home games in their inaugural Sal’s NBL season at Eventfinda Stadium after a date change for their match against the Bay Hawks.
The initial draw had the Tuatara playing the Hawks at Trusts Arena in Waitakere on Thursday May 19 but that match has been brought forward a day and will now take place at Eventfinda Stadium on Auckland’s North Shore on Wednesday May 18.
The change means the Aaron Young-coached side will play all nine home games at Eventfinda Stadium.
“We are delighted to play all of our games at our home stadium,” chief executive Regan Wood said.
“I cannot thank the team at Harbour Basketball and at Eventfinda Stadium enough. Both organisations have been completely supportive from the moment we acquired the Sal’s NBL licence and we really appreciate that backing.
“The team is ecstatic and can’t wait to make Eventfinda Stadium a fortress this season and beyond.”
The Auckland Tuatara opens their Sal’s NBL campaign against the Taranaki Mountainairs on Saturday April 30 at Eventfinda Stadium.
Memberships and tickets will become available as soon as it is clear what restrictions there will be on crowds.
