Auckland Tuatara players Tom Beattie and Charlie Dalton have helped Rosmini College to a runner-up finish at the New Zealand National Secondary Schools Championships in Palmerston North.
Both players enjoyed outstanding tournaments and were selected to the tournament team as a result.
Beattie scored 11 points in the final while Dalton chipped in nine as they went down to an impressive Christchurch Boys team 87-52.
Beattie lit up his team’s semi-final win over New Plymouth Boys, scoring 36 points, grabbing six boards and dishing three assists.
Dalton, had 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
Auckland Tuatara head coach Aaron Young’s St Kentigern College lost to Auckland Grammar in the 7th v 8th playoff.
