Fresh off an MVP season in the Sal’s NBL Auckland Tuatara big man Rob Loe has signed a short-term contract to play with Melbourne United in the Australian Basketball League.
Loe, who helped the Tuatara to a second consecutive Sal’s NBL Grand Final last week, won the MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Forward of the Year, NZ Forward of the Year, won the rebounding crown and was voted to the All-Star Five in a phenomenal season with the Tuatara.
He announced his ANBL and international retirement earlier in the season but has agreed to a short-term deal to help Melbourne United fill an injury void.
The Tall Blacks legend has indicated he’s interested in playing on in 2024 with the Auckland Tuatara.
