Highly respected big man Nick Barrow has confirmed he will return to the Auckland Tuatara for the 2023 Sal’s NBL season.
Barrow played a key role for coach Aaron Young and the Tuatara as they went all the way to the Grand Final in their inaugural season.
The 31-year-old Aucklander quietly goes about his work without fuss but has proven to be a highly effective player in the Sal’s NBL, having competed for over a decade.
A policeman by trade, the 6’8 Barrow will form a formidable Tuatara front court alongside skipper Rob Loe.
“Nick is one of those players you just love to coach,” said Tuatara coach Aaron Young.
“He is hard working, he will do all the dirty work and leave everything out on the court. He is a the consummate professional and conducts himself in a manner on and off court that sets the standard for the rest of the team.”
Barrow joins a Tuatara squad that includes Loe, Australian guard Cam Gliddon, Tall Blacks utility Reuben Te Rangi and young star Tom Beattie.
Memberships to all nine home games at Eventfinda Stadium are available now.
